Hello beautiful peoples!
I want to share my take on a delicious Tandoori Chicken recipe that you can easily make at home.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of natural yogurt
- 2 tablespoons of garlic paste (or freshly pressed garlic)
- 2 tablespoons of ginger paste (or freshly grated ginger)
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons of garam masala
- 2 teaspoons of cumin powder
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- About 1kg (2lbs) skinless, boneless chicken thighs
- A container for marinating the chicken overnight in the fridge
Instructions:
In a container, combine yogurt, garlic paste, ginger paste, salt, black pepper, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, olive oil, and lemon juice. Mix well to create a flavourful marinade.
Add the chicken thighs to the container. Ensure the chicken is well-coated with the marinade.
Cover the container and refrigerate the chicken overnight. This allows the flavors to infuse into the meat, making it incredibly tasty
The next day (or at least few hours later) George Foreman the bejesus out of that chicken. Keep the lid closed to trap the heat. Continue grilling until you achieve nice charred marks on the outside and the internal temperature of the thickest part of the chicken reaches 85°C. In my honest opinion, this is the safe temperature for cooked chicken, ensuring it’s both thoroughly cooked and safe to eat.
Serve your Tandoori Chicken hot and enjoy the aromatic flavours and tender texture!
This recipe is simple, effective, and incredibly delicious. Give it a try and let me know in the comments below how it turned out for you!
