Hello beautiful peoples!

I was chatting to my younger brother yesterday and he kept mentioning “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion“. I am familiar with the game as I have played through it in the past – decided to have another go at it as I remember it being fantastic.
I started playing and I chose a name for my character. I named him Anlyth Lanbanise. Just something I came up when asked for the character’s name.
Later I’ve noticed that I cannot save the game. I used the in-game menu.

And the game said that the save was successful – however no save files were created.

Turns out that this older game does not tolerate spaces in character’s name… Cat damn it…
Anyroad.
The fix was to change character’s name using in-game console:
Press tilde character while in game to activate console, next type in:
player.setactorfullname YourNameWithoutSpace
Now press .

Now try saving the game. It should work without a problem.
I hope this helps!
Catch you on the flip side,
AndrzejL
